A Site is an environment that has its own schedule, employees, and messaging center. Your department can have one or more sites, depending on your structure and Equina plan. You **must always have at least one site** in Equina before proceeding with any other settings. When you sign up for the Frontline Plan, a default Site called "\<Your Department Name> SITE 1" is created.

To Add a New Site, you go to **Account > Sites** and then click the **+ button** on the right. If the add button is disabled, it means that your current Plan does not allow additional Scheduling Sites. Contact us to upgrade your account to allow unlimited scheduling sites.

Each Site has many settings, including:

1. [Site Name](/basic-terminology/site/site-name.md)
2. [Site Address](/basic-terminology/site/site-address.md): so that we can ensure Timezone consistency with your Site's Schedule
3. [Hospital Affiliation](/basic-terminology/site/hospital-affiliation.md)
4. [Specialty](/basic-terminology/site/specialty.md)
5. [Staff Type](/basic-terminology/site/staff-type.md)
6. [Site/Team ID](/basic-terminology/site/site-team-id.md): applicable when integrating with 3rd party software
7. [Administrators](/basic-terminology/site/site-administrators.md)
8. [Weekend Definition](/basic-terminology/site/weekend-definition.md)
