Two-step authentication

Increase security for your account by using multiple authentication steps.

  1. Go to you Account > Settings > Account > Two-step authentication, and then click on "Add authentication step"

  1. Enter your Equina password to generate a QR code

  1. Download the free Google Authenticator app or Twilio Authy app and scan the QR code to add a new account:

  1. Enter the authentication code from your authenticator app to activate multi-step authentication. That's it! Next time you log in to Equina, you will be prompted to enter an authentication code from your authenticator app.

  1. To generate a back up code, go back to Account > Settings > Account, and click on "Generate backup code"

  1. Enter your Equina password and a 2FA token from your authenticator app to generate a new backup code:

  1. Save your new emergency back up code in a safe place:

  1. To Disable two-step authentication, go back to Account > Settings > Account, and click on "Remove..."

  1. Enter your Equina password and a 2FA token from your authenticator app to disable two-step authentication:
