The Spot definition and instructions on how to add a new Spot can be found in the basic terminology page in this documentation.
You can edit Spot details after adding a Spot in the Spot List tab.
When you are in Autopilot > Spots > Shift Template, y >You can create Shift Templates to be used to automate shift creation in the Roster.
Add a new Shift Template by click the + button
Name your Shift Template
Select Days of the Week to apply the template, and if it is a Holiday template.
Select the Number of Empty Shifts to create for each Spot. If you increase the Number of Empty Shifts to 1, that means that one shift will be populated on the days of the week you specified. In the screenshot below, the day of week for this ship template is only "Mon" or Monday. Thus, when we go to create empty shifts on a calendar (i.e. apply a shift template), we will see the shift "8a to 8pm" shift created on every Monday. The shift will be empty, but available to be assigned an employee.
The Default Daily Demand is optional, but considered an advanced feature. If you think you need to use it, reach out to our support team first via live chat and we'll help ensure it's setup correctly for you. Most shifts will have this field blank. Some shifts are more critical to be filled by an employee over other shifts. Default Daily Demand tells our scheduling system to prioritize this shift to be filled by an employee, physician, nurse etc over other shifts. We would add "1" in the field to indicate we want this shift prioritized. Please reach out to our support team if you believe this feature would benefit your schedule.
You can also define Sign Out/Hand Off dynamics. Your employees will have easy access to this information in the mobile app.
